Spring 2021

Shrubs, bulbs, seedlings, vegetables, exotic plants and cacti.  Looking forward to having a gorgeous garden, a clean and cleared yard, I think I found another yard guy, and life will begin in beauty for once.  Can't wait to get going.  Will definitely have azelias, lilac, some butterfly bushes over by the gate, lovely things!  I'm tired of moping around this house and not doing anything.  So on to a LOVELY spring!

Thinking About Next Spring . . .

For one thing I want to again incorporate feeders, bird and squirrel, get a couple more birdbaths, and create an outside lounge area for reading and relaxing.  I want to grow veggies next spring specifically peppers, I have great ideas on things like jalapeno poppers, banana peppers on my sandwiches, in my cooking . . . things like that.  But squash, eggplant, tomato, more strawberries, things like that.  I have a pretty flower garden now will have to work hard to overwinter it.  But I'll do it.

Getting Started ...

There was a break in the storm it was sunny and breezy so I took that opportunity to do the repotting I wanted to do, got the roses repotted into a larger pot, the cactus, and the purple heart.  I noticed my Angelique begonia is coming back I was so thrilled I want to move it to a higher rung on that plant stand so I can better see it.  It’s supposed to be fragrant but I don’t know.  I know it makes a pretty bloom.

When Spring Comes . . .

Of course I'll buy a billion seed and go ahead and plant them, both flowers and vegetable.  I also intend to buy more bird feeders and different things I can feed the squirrels in and start them eating again.  And windchimes.  I want a dozen sets.  I want this yard filled with the music of the wind!  Should we have some, we tend to have such still summers.  Today it's warm and sunny, some of my plants are faring from the winter so looking forward to spring in all her blooming glory!

FINALLY!!!

My Angelique begonia finally came up I was so stoked.  Then went out to water today and there is torrenia growing in my kalanchoe and my mini rose pots.  I was delighted!  Such pretty little blooms!  A lot of the stuff is going south because of too little water and they are done blooming.  Hope to have a real show in the spring next year.
