2011 Garden

Well my little garden isn't faring well though it's not completely dying out either.  I just put my new begonias in pots and made a "begonia tree" with them they are here:

The garden as a whole is doing ok, my Norfolk pine looks like it's dying, it has a broken branch and I think that killed the entire little tree it was on, I have a closet plant that completely died out but is donning forth new growth at the bottom, the garden is here:

I hope next spring to do so much more, I miss the wonderful garden I had a few years ago but we'll have to wait and see what happens with our living situation.  My hopes are diminishing.

New Plants

Though these aren't the current pictures here are some additions to the garden.  My red-leafed prayer plant is beginning to leaf again, I bought 6 pink and 6 red begonia and an arrowhead ivy, a lighter one than pictured here.  Don't know if I'd mentioned earlier that I'd bought another anthurium.  It's thriving nicely, blooming beautifully.

Surprise!

I got two pleasant surprises today.  The first is my red prayer plant that I thought was dead and gone has a new leaf.  The second is my Confederate Rose that I was sure was drought killed has two new growths.  I was very happy.  It's going to be a wonderful spring.  I hope.

Comin up on Winter . . .

All I've got growing right now are 3 hawarthia, one is quite old, the other two I just bought and need to repot so they can spread.  A norfolk pine, an hawaiian anthurium, a diffenbachia that I don't think is going to live much longer and a dreacena that is pretty much done for as well.  A small green prayer plant I bought to replace a red one that died.  We'll see come spring if they are still among the living.  Winter's coming.
