My First Edible Persimmon!

The persimmon I ate from my tree it was DELICIOUS!  I hope next year she is LOADED!!!!!

A New Baby . . .

I was at WalMart for extension cords and dog food and came across this little feller and just had to take him home:  

They call it a key lime pie . . . I'll have to look up the species eventually right now I'm tired.

SO Happy!

If all goes right and they stay on the tree my persimmon had a billion buds!

So I'll have persimmons if they don't all fall off!  I need to get some citrus food for it and feed it, I should have done it the fall but didn't.  But it's blooming and every bloom will be a baby 'simmon!  Oh can't wait to see them!  I'll keep it watered well so that will help right now it's in floodwater so it's waterlogged.  We also have figs:

Everything I have on the porch is doing well after the winter freeze.  My white christmas cactus is doing well the red one is still alive and I even successfully planted a branch of the white christmas one so I have two of em.  Two spider plants live, hosta, my calla lilies are coming up don't know if they'll bloom I hope so, the lily Pat gave me is leafing don't know if it'll bloom it never has.  The bletilla orchid has bloomed and blooms are spent but foliage is doing well.  Can't wait to hit the soil tomorrow and get ALL my seeds planted.  I'm optimistic I'm about to have a great garden!  We'll see and I'll post!

False Spring . . .

I think the plants think it's spring as my Bletilla orchid is beginning to sprout again.  I am hoping to get a larger container to put that in it really needs a larger container.  The little callas I have are also sprouting, have been for a couple of weeks now I hope they fare ok.  Cacti that is remaining is doing well so I'm not as concerned with them.  About to go out and make another check on them.  I have a puppy to bury :(.
